Newly elected mayor of Gazipur City Corporation Zaida Khatun is going to take charge of her office tomorrow.
Sunday (today) was the last working day of acting mayor Asadur Rahman Kiran.
Talking to our Gazipur correspondent, the acting mayor Asadur said, “Zaida Khatun is going to take charge as the new mayor tomorrow. If she feels that she needs help, we will help her.”
Zaida defeated ruling Awami League candidate Azmat Ullah Khan by a margin of 16,197 votes in the city corporation polls held on May 25 this year.
